5×7 Envelopes Are Great For Invitation Mailing
If you are planning a special event, such as a wedding, 5×7 envelopes in bulk are the best way to get all of your invitations in the mail quickly. There are many different color 5×7 envelopes available, for just about any special occasion you can dream of. Cards that are referred to as ‘quarter fold’ cards are often mail using 5×7 envelopes, which are also sometimes called a7 envelopes. The awesome thing about the great variety of 5×7 envelopes out there is that there are always new kinds of envelopes popping up. Personally, I love the envelopes that are lined with felt or foil, because they add a lot of personal style and will definitely impress whoever receives the card! Listed below are some of the types of envelopes that I have used for my party and invitations in the past, and I hope you find some of the information helpful.
Bulk 5×7 Envelopes
These 5×7 Envelopes made by Quality Park are perfect if you are planning a party and need to send out tons of invitations. I plan and hold many parties each year, from office parties to holiday parties in my own home. Since you get 100 5×7 envelopes per pack, these make a great cost effective investment if you mail out as many invitations and greeting cards as I do. These cards are made with 24-lb paper stock, which means they are just thick enough to not be see through without using a light source. If you are planning a large wedding, these 5×7 envelopes would definitely do the trick. If your wedding is a bit smaller, I would definitely suggest some higher quality custom envelopes.
Grey 5 x 7 Envelopes
These grey 5×7 envelopes envelopes are another great option if you would like to add a bit of color or style to your mailing. These envelopes are also made with 24-lb paper stock, and with the added grey color, they are definitely not see through. Grey can be a little dark, and I think they are great for Halloween party invitations.
Violet Metallic 5 x 7 Envelopes
If you’re feeling a little bold, these violet 5×7 envelopes come with a metallic shine. These metallic 5×7 envelopes look absolutely amazing, and I use them for extra special occasions. In fact, I talked my daughter into using this exact envelope for her wedding, and they were absolutely stunning. The metallic sheen is very pretty, and the cards are made with a heavier paper stock than typical bulk 5 x 7 envelopes. These come in packs of 25 and are a little bit more expensive than other envelopes, but I feel that they are worth the price. These little beauties are also very ‘green.’ They are acid free, recyclable, and biodegradable.
5×7 Envelopes Grab Bag
This is another fun little thing I’ve found. These come in a neat little multipack, ranging from 50 all the way up to 1,000 envelopes per box. The colors are assorted which is pretty cool. There is a total of 10 different colors. You could use this box to send everyone a different color invitation, or you could do what I do and sort each color and use them for 10 different events. The 10 different colors are Natural, Gamma Green, ReEntry Red, Pink, Lt Blue, Blue, Gold, Orange, Golden Green and Dark Purple. These envelopes are also high quality and environment friendly…acid and lignin free, chlorine free, and biodegradable.
Gold Foil Lined 5×7 Envelopes – White
These foil lined envelopes are also pretty neat. They are made with the same 24-lb paper stock as the bulk white 5×7 envelopes I mentioned earlier, however, these are lined with gold foil. I really love 5×7 envelopes that come lined with foil like this, or even felt! The gold foil in these envelopes really adds a dash of class. I have used envelopes like these for office parties that the boss asked me to plan for investors, and I feel that the foil envelopes really set the mood for the party. A close friend of mine also used envelopes similar to these for his wedding years back, and I was very impressed with the quality of both the envelope and the foil lining.
As you can see, there are many different types of 5 x 7 envelopes out there, and I feel as if I have barely touched the surface. If you found this information helpful, be sure to check back often as I use a lot of these envelopes and will definitely share my experiences with various 5×7 envelopes here with the rest of you!
